What started as a small business of jewellery creation from a tiny shop in Valletta in 1898, has become the Victor Azzopardi Jewellers of today, with its strong reputation that is there to last for decades to come.

Pioneers In Jewellery Making

Family Azzopardi's passion for jewellery started decades ago when Emmanuele Azzopardi handcrafted jewellery pieces from his workshop in Valletta. At the time his workshop was one of the most equipped, which attracted the attention of the most fashionable people back then to have unique jewellery made just for them. Many of Emmanuel's creations are still being appreciated in private collections – testimony to the great value of artistry his pieces hold to this day.

As his clientele bloomed, Emmanuel's son, Victor Azzopardi, opened the jewellery shop in Floriana, in 1969. In joining his father in the family business, Victor kept the focus on jewellery crafting but extended the activity into the importation of jewellery and silver pieces.

When Victor's eldest son, Joseph Farrugia, joined the family business in 1995, Victor Azzopardi Jewellers kept growing even more. Today, Joseph runs three jewellery outlets together with his sons Luis and Raphael. The latter is a certified gemmologist like his younger brother JJ.
